Conserving biodiversity and improving livelihood opportunities for indigenous communities.

Nature is continually being transformed by social, environmental, and economic factors that are not easily foreseeable. Indigenous communities have proven to be excellent stewards when given support and management resources, because most have an intergenerational commitment that is both pragmatic and spiritual. We support certification under the Community Biodiversity Standard to accelerate investment that rewards adaptive capacity and ecological resilience for positive nature-based climate action.

Eco Solutions seeks investors to support indigenous projects that conserve endangered biodiversity in high value tropical forests, while increasing livelihood  opportunities for forest communities.

We bring over 50 years of experience assisting in the development and implementation of community forestry projects. We helped develop some of the first REDD (Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation) projects marketing carbon offset credits.

Climate Justice

Climate justice requires supporting investment to indigenous peoples and local forest communities as they implement conservation strategies. With 36% of the world’s intact forests and 80% of biodiversity under the management of indigenous people and forest communities, investing in these groups is one of many positive solutions to reversing trends in biodiversity and forest loss.
